St. Spas I and St. Spas II are in the process of construction. They will be completed respectively in March 2008 and March 2009. The two centers together with the surrounding park space along the Chepinska river will form a vacation village of a closed type in the most beauitful part of Velingrad. The Balneological Centers will be located at the end of Velingrad, Chepino quarters, on the bank of the Chepinska river, next to the biggest mineral spring Radonova Banya and 700 m away from the Kleptuza natural reserve. This earthly corner blessed with a healing gift has been known back in the ancient times where there have been built Roman and Turkish baths, and later it has been described in the travel notes of Aleko Konstantinov and Ivan Vazov.
A source of health and longevity, in the area people still celebrate Ascension Day, the holiday of St. Spas who according to Christian religion brings healing and protection from harm.
The Balneological Centers will be designed for year-round accommodation, balneotherapy and active recreation. The centers will be of a closed type and will be used exclusively and only by homeowners and guests. They will fall in the four-star categorization and will consist of: a residential part, a therapeutic and diagnostic centre, entertainment facilities and service facilities.
